Mission to prepare individuals to take civil service entry level fingerprint test.

The mission of the Academy of Investigational Services and Training (AIST) is to prepare individuals for
civil service test and examinations in the field of fingerprint classification and comparison.  By providing
instructions in the art and science of  fingerprint  forensics in accordance with the standards established by
the  Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).  

The
objectives of the program are to produce competent  fingerprint professionals who are trained to test
for a career in CSI fingerprints:

Able to take fingerprint test on how to determine pattern type for the purpose of interpretation.

Able to take fingerprint test on how to determine pattern type for the purpose of comparison.

Able to take fingerprint test on how to  determine pattern type for the purpose of classification.

Able to take fingerprint test on how to  determine pattern type for the purpose of identification.

Able to take fingerprint test on how to Identify and classify fingerprints using the Henry System.

Able to take fingerprint test to classify fingerprints using the Fingerprint Classification formula (FPC).

Able to take fingerprint test to classify fingerprints using the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification
System (IAFIS)

Able to take fingerprint test to classify fingerprints using the computerized codes of the National Crime
Information Center (NCIC).

Able to take fingerprint test to examine fingerprints using ACE-V analysis.

Able to Review fingerprints for quality prior to distribution and incorporation into existing records.

Able to assists in court case investigation process as it relates to fingerprint identification and comparison.

Able to testify in court case investigation process as it relates to fingerprint identification and comparison.
